Hajime Sorayama

Hajime Sorayama is the creator of the 'sexy robot', not to be confused with Peter Crouch! and also created the first designs for the AIBO dog for Sony. I've seen his work used in various guises, copied in many places. In fact the deluge of his prints could be down to his former art dealer dropping prints of his work on eBay for way below market value prices, and has since been found guilty in a $2 million court judgement

Hajime has just collaborated with Sixpack for a print, which you can buy through Colette so worth buying as not only is it a great image, but Hajime will at least benefit from its sale.

Life Clock

I love this clock, it only really goes up to 81, but I guess if you reach the midnight hour you'll be fairly pleased with yourself anyway as it is based on the average age of women. Not sure if this is for sale or not, or just 'arty' but love the concept, and love the other versions particularly the one where the clock speeds up as you get older (I'm feeling that already, and is probably the reason for endless school holidays, and why old folks get up with the milkman), with the display reflecting the fact. Not sure if is correct though, as the hands of time will need to slow down, anyway... that will be the last thing I'm thinking about when I'm seventy odd.

There are loads of other great ideas on the site too, so go visit www.bertrandplanes.com

Zoltar

”I wish I was big"... or moreover ”I wish I had a Zoltar machine”, and you can get them too, probably not surprising really as I doubted they created it just for the show. The premium version is $8500 and I can't help but wonder how much they were going for before the show. Even so would be great to have one, and I'll just have to stick with my Lucky 8 Ball for planning the day ahead each morning.

Check out the premium version at www.zoltarmachine.com for the cheaper version try this
