Ben Nicholson

I'm kicking myself that I missed the Ben Nicholson exhibition at the Tate St Ives, for one it would be an excuse to go to Cornwall again, as other than recently when I got to go to Newquay for my stag-do (they should cut that town away and push it into the sea) I haven't been since family holidays when a nipper.

Anyway sidetracked... The piece pictured just hits the target on so many levels, with the composition, the colour choices and juxtaposition. You can keep your Wassily Kandinsky.

I always think it is incredibly modern looking, and how it looks like a great interface or piece of information design... if I ever achieve an interface however as glorious as this painting, I'll happily hang up my mouse.
